John Fraser, Secretary of the Australian Treasury, will discuss Australia’s engagement in the global economy and more specifically Australia’s trade relations with the Asia-Pacific region.

This is a particularly interesting time for Australia’s economic relations with the wider Asian region, with heavy speculation over the future of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), as well as the growing importance of Chinese investment in Australia. Australia also looks set to play a major role in the UK’s trading relations following the Brexit vote.

Prior to being appointed Australian Treasury Secretary in 2015, Mr Fraser was Chairman and CEO of UBS Global Asset Management, where he was also a member of the UBS Group Executive Board.
