Nezar Patria, Indonesia's Vice Minister of Communication and Digital, will brief Asia House Corporate Members on Indonesia’s digital transformation priorities and regional technology engagement at an off-the-record briefing on Thursday 12 June.
Speaking at Asia House, Vice Minister Patria will share insights on Indonesia’s national digital strategy, including plans to enhance connectivity, drive digital inclusion, and expand the country’s innovation ecosystem. He will also address the government’s focus on building a secure and inclusive digital economy, alongside efforts to attract investment in key technology sectors.
The session will highlight Indonesia's key role in driving ASEAN's digital integration as the region’s largest economy, exploring opportunities for global collaboration in fintech, e-commerce, cybersecurity, and AI governance. Vice Minister Patria will also share insights on the global digital landscape and Indonesia’s partnerships with major international players in tech and digital policy. The recent ASEAN-GCC-China summit in Kuala Lumpur underscored Southeast Asia's proactive stance in shaping the global digital economy, with new agreements on digital trade, data governance, and emerging technologies like blockchain and AI, further cementing ASEAN’s growing influence in global digital policy.
The briefing will be moderated by Asia House Chief Executive Michael Lawrence OBE.
