Matilda Buchan is a Senior Research Analyst at Asia House, drawing on quantitative analysis to complement research on economic developments in Asia. Prior to this Matilda spent six years working as an Economist in the Civil Service, advising policy in the Department for International Trade. During this time she produced analysis on trade, investment, global supply chains and market access barriers and contributed to the Free Trade Agreement analysis for the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), Economic Dialogues with Malaysia, the Philippines and Joint Trade Reviews with China. Matilda holds a degree in Economics and a Masters in International Development and has studied a course in Chinese Business and Economics at a University in Beijing.
