As one of the curators of China: The Three Emperors
(1662-1796),
one of the largest ever loan exhibitions sent abroad from the Palace
Museum, Beijing, which was held at the Royal Academy earlier this
year,
Miss Kinoshita will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the process
and the difficulties encountered mounting such a large-scale show.
She is presently working on another loan exhibition from Xi'an which
focuses on Qin Shihuang, the First Emperor of China and his terracotta
army, due to open at the British Museum in September 2007.
This lunchtime lecture is presented in association with the China
Society. Ticket price includes a light sandwich lunch.
