A fascinating, deeply personal account of the impact that India has had
on the life and beliefs of leading broadcaster Sir Mark Tully. Through
colourful anecdotes and insightful interviews, he shows us the many
lessons he has learned from India and, most importantly, what he believes
India has yet to teach us about the way we deal with economic growth
and poverty relief, environmental issues, education, management
and democracy.

Born in Calcutta, Sir Mark was the chief of Bureau, BBC, New Delhi. He has
written several books about India, including India in Slow Motion (jointly
with Gillian Wright), No Full Stops in India, The Heart of India, Divide and
Quit, India – 50 years of Independence. Sir Mark divides his time between
India and London.The talk will be followed by a reception kindly sponsored
