Charting the confusing friendship between prepubescents
Orked and
Mukhsin, writer/director Yasmin Ahmad’s award winning third
feature
is a coming of age story which asks what happens when you fall in
love with your best friend?
Yasmin Ahmad’s two previous films are Sepet (2004) and Gubra
(2006).
Her reputation on the international filmmaking circuit was recently
cemented at the 2007 Berlin International
Film Festival where Mukhsin picked up the Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk
Grand Prix and a Special Mention in the Glass Bear category.
