COLLECTING WORKSHOP: SOUTH EAST
ASIAN JEWELLERY AND ORNAMENTATION

WORKSHOP BY LESLEY AND DICCON PULLEN
Wednesday 7 June 2006, 6.30-7.30pm

The first of our Collecting Workshops will concentrate on collecting Jewellery
and Ornamentation, and will focus on the extensive collection of Lesley and
Diccon Pullen who have kindly invited us to their home. While talking about
how they began and developed their collections, Lesley and Diccon will share
the knowledge they have gained through 30 years of living, travelling and
collecting in Asia. Also on display will be their other eclectic collections of
Contemporary Japanese Prints, Mainland Southeast Asian Buddha images,
Indian Hindu folk masks and heads, Himalayan Buddhist Gau boxes and
jackets from Southwest China minorities. Lesley and Diccon are currently
taking Masters degrees in Asian Art and Archaeology at The School of
Oriental and African Studies.
